Life owes you nothing, except fresh bread

Back in Switzerland, where I ended up during the Corona crisis. I remember reading somewhere that the Chinese character for "crisis" is composed of the characters "danger" and "opportunity". Since my life has always been in an exceptional state anyway, I actually feel quite comfortable in this crisis. So far, I also have the privilege that my existence is not endangered. It's time to consider our plan to emigrate to Canada. It seems that I am too old and do not have the necessary work experience as a manager or supervisor to be welcomed as a Permanent Resident. Canadians want young, foreign fresh meat that makes Canada great and not an old Swiss sausage. Life is not fair and owes me nothing, even though my karma account wouldn't be too bad. What remains for me are the possibilities to deal with this disappointment with dignity. My response to this is my wonderful partner and fresh bread. As a Young Professional, Annina could get a visa and I would then be her appendage. Until this or something else works out, I enjoy fresh bread from the almost in-house bakery every day in quarantine and do my yoga exercises without the Canadian housewives. Because life is not something that can be accomplished or messed up. The essential lies elsewhere...
