Hello,
we are once again on our way to our next destination by bus and would like to tell you about our last few days. After our arrival on the island of Koh Phi Phi, we were able to check into our room right away and make our way up to a great viewpoint. After that, we went on a half-day boat trip to the different beaches of the small surrounding islands. We were able to swim and snorkel extensively. We were told that small sharks can also be spotted at a reef, but unfortunately, we didn't spot any. The boat trip ended when it was already dark with bioluminescent plankton in the water. We went overboard again and were able to see many neon green glowing dots when we moved underwater. We ended the evening with a good meal (pizza and seafood served in a pineapple). The next day, we continued our journey to the well-known island of Phuket by ferry, where we booked a room for the next two nights. Unfortunately, the weather was not so great when we arrived, but we arrived at our accommodation dry in a cheap taxi. After a short consideration, we decided to rent a scooter and explore the island with a rain jacket. We quickly reached the coast and after enjoying grilled meat on a stick and a portion of French fries on the beach, we were able to see the first waterfall. In the evening, we visited a huge night market where we could eat delicious street food and Matthias got another new pair of sunglasses :) Unfortunately, the weather was also not very lucky for us the next day, but we still set out on an exploration tour. Among other things, we were able to admire the Big Buddha of the island, eat real German currywurst, admire many beautiful beaches, and see waterfalls again. After the long day, we visited another night market, which was a bit smaller but all the more beautiful. Here, too, we tried almost every Thai specialty and strolled through the numerous souvenir stands with live music. Today we are already on our way to the mainland again with a minibus, where we will visit the city of Krabi.
See you then,
Malia
