Antsirabe and Ambatolampy

On the way to our daily destination Antsirabe, we once again see many interesting things. First, we drive through a gold mining village. At some point, gold was found here and Malagasy people from all corners of the country flocked to the village to try their luck. In the adjacent stream, we see gold being washed, right next to it, people wash clothes, themselves, or their children. The little gold that is found here is later sold to Indian jewelry manufacturers in Tana through intermediaries.
