Today, everyone gets up excitedly at 8 o'clock because there is a seafari and we hope to see all kinds of marine animals, especially dolphins (!). From our cute caravan park, we still have about 1 hour to go back to Easdale, south of Oban. We are early and explore the wonderful bay where Easdale, consisting of a few houses, is located.
Then it's time to go already. We get a pretty blue and yellow (Mauerbach Ole) raincoat and off we go on the speedboat towards the Atlantic and the surrounding islands. The two-hour journey impresses with seals, sea eagles, goats and deer living on the islands. A particularly impressive phenomenon is the strong current or whirlpools caused by the tide... our boat is literally thrown in all directions. Felix sleeps through half of the journey... apparently the tossing has a calming effect.
The parents are impressed, the kids are disappointed (since no dolphins have appeared - Felix would have slept through it anyway) and so we continue the remaining way to Loch Lomond National Park with a short stop in Oban (Lidl to restock the pantry and refuel) and find a nice spot right by Loch Venachar. The midges (Scottish mosquitoes) are particularly annoying here... too bad, for the first time the temperature is pleasant enough to sit outside in the evening.
Tomorrow is the last full day in the motorhome... we're all looking forward to a 'proper' bed!
