Namibia / Desert hike in Sossosvlei

After arriving in Windhoek on November 7, the next day we set off directly into the desert with our vehicle, a Toyota Hilux double cab. After settling into our mega-beautiful cabin in the Desert Quiver Lodge, right in the middle of the desert, we went to the Sossusvlei Lodge 5 km away for dinner. The options included zebra, springbok, and every type of antelope. In short, we tried everything and it tasted excellent.

The next day, we set off early at 5:30 am for the 60 km journey to the dune landscape. First, a dune hike and then an off-road drive through the dune area made the day an unforgettable experience. It was topped off when we woke up in the night and discovered the starry sky. Wow, words cannot describe this, nor can photos. We have never been so close to the stars......
