The southernmost tip of Sweden

प्रकाशित: 04.09.2016

The weather report turned out to be right. It rained... We spent the morning painting, doing laundry, and playing. Mom was happy about the cheap laundry fees. After lunch (fish sticks for Philip) off to Trelleborg. Let's see where the ferry starts on Wednesday. As soon as we got in the car, both kids fell asleep. The parents took a car tour of the city since it was still raining. Finding the ferry entrance was idiot-proof. Wednesday should be smooth sailing. It's only 25 km. Besides the port with the gigantic ferry ships, Trelleborg is unremarkable. We also saw a Viking castle, but only from the car... Rain and sleeping children!

The travel guide had something else interesting to offer: the southernmost point of Sweden - Smygehuk. It's nearby. Okay, let's go! We passed by it twice before finally finding it. Quickly took the obligatory tourist photo. Because, of course, it was raining... We spotted a café. Hurried in to raise our caffeine levels. And of course, Philip had an ice cream. They had delicious cake there. Jule even left her rice cake for it. Strengthened, we headed back to the campsite. Unfortunately, the rain got stronger, but it didn't stop Dad from grilling in the awning (electric grill!).

Afterwards, the kids went swimming again. Let's hope they fall asleep faster today. Jule has recently discovered her voice and is talking the entire time. Even when she's falling asleep, which makes Philip laugh. That's how the penguins do it and no one sleeps... Except the parents eventually... In any case, we don't need to chill a bottle of wine.

Tomorrow will be better weather! We believe in it...
