1000t Potatoes per day ЁЯеФЁЯеФЁЯеФ

In the past few weeks in Nz, it's been a lot of hard work, work, work. Every day, 1000t of potatoes roll past us on a conveyor belt. Our task is to sort out everything that is not a potato. A 'job for idiots', but if you want to travel, you also have to work for it bla bla bla... However, there is one advantage, during the 10-hour shifts, you have enough time to think about everything 3-5 times - you go crazy with boredom because the machines are usually so loud that you can't talk. In addition, we work in shifts, sometimes we even stand on the potato harvester until 4 a.m. But somehow I also like the work because the teams are mostly made up of backpackers, so you get to know really cool people. The best time of the day is always when we have to wait for a truck, then we have paid break.

And where do all the potatoes go? To the french fries factory and then straight to McDonald's in America.

On some days, we are also used for other tasks, we have already had to harvest corn and pumpkins. ЁЯМ╜

But when I look back on the jobs in New Zealand, I will laugh about it afterwards, because who has ever milked cows, harvested potatoes, etc. And it is relatively well paid. Something you can only dream of in Germany for holiday jobs...

There are still 3 weeks to complete and then it's finally off to Australia! ЁЯШН
