After visiting the remaining U.S. monuments in Washington in the morning (there are really many), I took a taxi to Union Station. I arrived there well ahead of time. At 3:05 p.m., the 'Silver Star' train started its journey.
But unfortunately, only for about 20 minutes. Then conductor Preston came and announced that there were technical issues with the locomotive.
After hours of waiting, we were finally brought back to Washington.
Almost 7 hours later, the train is still at the station. ЁЯШФ
Departure will finally be at 10:15 p.m.
Of course, this messes up my travel plan, as I will only arrive in Miami at midnight on Thursday. But well, at least I will have the entire Thursday for the beach. In Miami, sleep is the least of my concerns during the night. ЁЯШК

stay tuned

Edit 2 hours later:
We're moving, but the lack of sleep also applies to train nights...ЁЯСА
Edit 5:30 a.m.:
We're on the move ЁЯСК
Then I fell asleep...
