We wake up early and take a taxi to Newark/New Jersey Airport. Traffic is good and we arrive at the airport ahead of schedule. Breakfast and a bit of wait time. тП│я╕П

Our flight takes off slightly delayed and we fly relaxed to Savannah.

After a 2-hour flight, we arrive in the southern town of Savannah. We immediately notice the abundance of greenery from the air, a contrast to New York like no other.

Our taxi takes us to the historic center of Savannah to our accommodation, Marschall House. A venerable building that we immediately fall in love with.

The heat has stayed loyal to us, no surprise. It's hot in the South.

We first walk straight to the Savannah River and check out the situation.

The old buildings and streets exude a great atmosphere, we immediately feel comfortable. 2 beautiful Instagram-worthy drinks from Starbucks and we venture into the city refreshed.

Southern flair!

Great old houses that breathe history and many tree-lined streets. A great city that is not overrun by tourists. We like it.

We are particularly impressed by the ancient oaks with Spanish moss.

We walk to Forsythe Park. Then our stomach dictates the direction.

An extensive dinner on the riverfront, including big ships spotting, concludes this day.

Stay tuned
