Hapuna Bay

This morning we drive from home in the rain towards Hapuna Bay, about 45 minutes north of us. There we are greeted by bright sunshine and a stunningly beautiful bay, which still seems quite sleepy.

While snorkeling there, we get the impression of being in an aquarium. There may not be large schools of fish to observe, but there are plenty of rainbow fish shimmering in all colors.

By noon, the waves increase in number and height, so the only thing on the agenda is boogie boarding. It's really fun, Hulagirl is completely in her element, and far away from all biochemistry, physiology, etc. What was that again, Physics? Just take a look at the pictures, they speak a thousand words...

Sand in every nook and cranny doesn't matter at all, because there's a shower later. And believe me, I haven't enjoyed one as much as this in a long time....

So we spend the whole morning at Hapuna Bay and we're already sure that we weren't there for the last time.

After a visit to the swimming pool in the afternoon, we go snorkeling nearby again, because finally the rain has cleared up! And of course, this time we'll also watch the sunset from the beach!
