First, I have to tell you about yesterday... it was clear to us that our next destination would be Ayutthaya. So we looked up how to get there. On the internet, I came across David's blog zugreiseblog.de and thank you David for the valuable information that we immediately took advantage of.

For example, we took bus number 53 from our accommodation to Bangkok Railway Station, all for 13 baht. The tuk-tuk driver around the corner wanted 300 baht.

At the railway station, we learned that tickets to Ayutthaya (we are traveling in so-called 3rd class, without fans in the train compartment, but you can open the windows all the way) can only be purchased on the same day and cannot be reserved in advance.

Spontaneously, we decided to take a tuk-tuk to the China Town district. In China Town, there are many restaurants and food stands on both sides of the road where you can get pretty much anything you feel like eating (or have the courage to eat).

On our return journey by boat, we enjoyed the somewhat cool breeze blowing in our faces and the scenery that unfolded before us from the water.

So, now let's talk about today.

After breakfast, we took a taxi to the Ratchaburi province and visited the floating Damnoen Saduak market. The taxi ride was just under an hour and cost about 900 baht. But the shock came when we "rented" a boat. They asked for 2,000 baht per person for the tour. Since we didn't have that much money with us and didn't want to spend it all, we ended up paying "only" 1,500 baht per person. The floating market is a canal system used by tourist boats and locals. On the left and right are so-called trading posts.

The tour lasted about 1.5 hours and we were disappointed that there weren't as many trading boats as we had imagined based on the pictures shown. However, now that I'm back at the hotel, I learned that it's best to visit the market in the morning between 6:00 - 7:00 am :-)

We're back from the night market in Patpong. We only bought a pair of shorts for Nina and had a very delicious dinner at one of the many food stalls. Yellow noodles with crab. Mmmm... very tasty!

After that, we accepted the challenge from Robin and Jenny and watched a Ping Pong Show at the Super Pussy Club. I have to say, it's not something you necessarily have to see! The show cost us 1,200 baht. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth the money... But since we were assigned this task, we completed it dutifully :-)

Afterwards, we wanted to have a drink at the Red Sky Bar. However, we were not served and then drove back to our street. We ordered a watermelon daiquiri and a Cuba Libre from the bartender in the VW bus and by chance, we met Tom from Bad Tölz, who is flying back to Germany tomorrow, and he also gave us valuable information for the onward journey.
