9. Paklenica National Park

9. Day: After breakfast at the campsite of Paklenica National Park, which is beautifully located by the beach, we drove to Velika Paklenica (the big gorge). The gorge is a paradise for climbers. Already at the parking lot, we discover the first colorful spots on the steep rock walls towering above us.

However, we are here for hiking. A beautiful circular tour awaits us, which leads through this part of the park both at the bottom of the gorge and high above the steep walls. We have already done this route in 2021 with Max and Daniel, but in the opposite direction. I could still remember the many beautiful impressions, but not the length 😁. The path is relatively demanding, you have to constantly watch where you step. This is difficult because there are constantly more natural beauties to admire.

So far, we always wore long underwear, knee socks, hat, scarf, and gloves, but today it has become really warm for the first time. The proximity to the coast and the further advance to the south are slowly becoming noticeable.
