Holland September 2018 - Beach day in Julianadorp

The weather today was perfect for a day at the beach! Sunny, with a slight breeze that was a bit chilly but bearable in the sun. We spread out on the beautiful wooden platform, which we had discovered at the beginning of our trip. From there, we had a great view of the beach. We enjoyed the sound of the sea and the warmth of the sun until we started feeling hungry around noon.

Originally, we wanted to get something to eat at the snack bar at Paal 6, but it was closed. So we had no choice but to go to a restaurant if we wanted to satisfy our hunger. Interestingly, I ordered a croquet sandwich, which was basically two large croquettes on a piece of toast. Well, it was alright.

After we had refreshed ourselves, we went back to our spot. We also went down to the water, but only with our feet, not completely! Even though there were a few crazies bathing in the sea again today, we didn't want to join them. The water was a bit too cold for that! We spent the rest of the day reading and lounging around. It wasn't until around 5 o'clock that we made our way back to the apartment or to the supermarket.
