05/31/17: Gyokuzo-in Temple in Oji (Nara)

And another ride on the Shinkansen. The time for getting on and off is only 1 minute and 30 seconds per station.

We are now heading to the Buddhist temple in the mountains at an altitude of about 300 meters. A good opportunity to turn off the smartphone and tablet for two days, even if there is Wi-Fi available.

Turning off doesn't work so well here, as the flight path of Osaka airport is directly above the temple. And that every minute 😲. Too bad....

And the beautiful landscape is spoiled by the numerous giant power poles on the hills and mountains.

Unfortunately, the temple is disappointing in terms of accommodation.
