48. Stage 'Tamchy, Issyk Kul'

Gerrit and Markus set off for Naryn today. They plan to traverse some passes along the way and camp somewhere. Jeroen wants to explore some side valleys on the southern shore of Issyk Kul. I have headed towards Bishkek. On my way there, I made a stop in Tamchy. My accommodation is located right near the beach. The tip came from Gerrit and Markus, who also stayed here on their journey from Bishkek to Karakol. The drive here was very pleasant, and the road became really good starting at KM 120, so the defective shock absorber was hardly noticeable. However, until then, there were the usual construction sites and a few potholes to overcome. In Bishkek, I will take care of the transit visa for Russia. Some posts on social media suggest that it is faster there than in Almaty. Let’s see, I will find out.
