Take a close look, some pictures show a blue sky. Allegedly, it's supposed to be sunny from tomorrow on and I'm hoping for the bright blue sky that I know from Dubai. But today, it was already enough for a slight sunburn. And that even though it rained at least ten times. Just a few drops every one or two minutes.
We started our day in Deira, a district of Dubai. First, we visited the Clock Tower, which supposedly everyone has to see. Well, form your own opinion. I think there are more interesting things in Dubai.
Afterwards, we strolled along the Dubai Creek, watching the workers at the "freight port". It's incredible what and especially how much is loaded onto the old dhows, and you wonder how they can stay afloat.
With stoic calm and ignorance, we endured the constant "harassment" at the Gold and Spice Souks. Maybe we would have bought something if we could have looked around in peace without being approached right away.
Then we took an abra (water taxi) to the other side of the Creek, Bur Dubai. The abra ride is a very affordable and cool experience, we really liked it.
In Bur Dubai, we also walked through the Bastakiya Quarter, the historic quarter of Dubai.
