The Route 66 of Europe

The E65 practically follows the entire coast of Croatia.

The view is breathtakingly beautiful: mountains on the left, sea on the right.

(the quality leaves something to be desired, as we didn't feel like taking the time to cut or edit anything..)

Finally pleasant weather. Temperatures rise to a pleasant 18 degrees during the day and a minimum of 12 at night. Everything is instantly more fun. When camping, you're even too lazy to set up the tent. Why bother? The tarpaulin is still placed over it just in case.

One thing is clear. Cold not only makes everything more stressful but also costs money. Camping at 2 degrees is okay for once, but the step to paid accommodation is much quicker. Besides, you don't really feel like cooking something outside with the petrol stove when it's drizzling, but you go to the pizzeria or buy the overpriced hot chocolate at the gas station.
