Extended weekend in HANOI

On May 1st, it's also a holiday in Vietnam. However, it's not a holiday as we know it. Shops, restaurants, and some tourist attractions were still open.

We used this 'extra' day for an extended weekend in Hanoi.

There are regular and affordable flights from Da Nang to Hanoi. Since we always work until 9 pm on Fridays, we decided to take an early flight on Saturday morning and a late flight back on Monday evening. Three full days were enough for strolling, celebrating, meeting friends, and, of course, sightseeing.

I had imagined Hanoi to be somehow 'more interesting'. The streets were crowded with people, cars, and especially mopeds, but it didn't bother me. Somehow, I'm already used to it. Although I was also looking forward to Da Nang, the beach, and the sea.
