The plan for today was to go to Årjäng. There, we wanted to ride a railroad trolley and then go wild camping again.
When we arrived in Årjäng, we had to realize that railroad trolleys are not rented out this season. We would have had to go to Bengtfors, but that would have deviated too far from our route.
We took a nice walk along the lake, "Västra Silen," and then decided to continue on to Oslo.
The rest of the car ride went without incidents. We were also able to cross the border without any problems.
When we finally arrived in Oslo, we parked the car in a parking garage of a shopping center and wanted to go to the toilet and buy groceries there. Since we went directly into the ladies' room, we didn't have to pay. But when we wanted to leave again, the door wouldn't open and we were stuck there. Great, the first day in Norway started off well. We considered how we could get out of there. The window was not an option as it wouldn't open. So the only way out was the door, which still wouldn't open. After thinking for a while about what to do, I tried opening the door again. By chance, I turned the lock in the opposite direction and the door opened. For some reason, the locks in Norway seem to work the other way around. You really need to know that, otherwise you wouldn't think of trying it... Well, after we finally got out, we found the whole situation really funny.
We went shopping and then drove to the campsite we had chosen in advance. (By the way, we paid almost 8€ for 40 minutes in the parking garage.)
We paid about 200€ for 4 nights at the campsite and had to pay extra for the showers. So, we immediately made acquaintance with the expensive Norwegian prices.
After finding a spot for our tent, we set it up. Then we made food and enjoyed the evening with a view of the city.
