Since the washrooms at the KOA campground were really clean, we took advantage of that and took a shower. Then it was time for the first dump. Everything went well - Jens really knew what he was doing 👍
Then we headed towards the Rocky Mountains - which means we had about 300km ahead of us. Since the highway was in good condition, we made good progress. We had to stop for gas once and we also stopped for breakfast
Then we saw it ahead of us: Mount Robson - the highest mountain in the Rockies at 3954 meters. We drove straight towards it - that's the beauty of doing the tour this way. The view was simply amazing.
Soon after, we entered Jasper National Park. We immediately bought the park pass for 4 nights, as we wanted to stay 2 nights in Jasper and 2 nights in Banff. We arrived in Jasper and had our lunch at the 'Jasper Brewing' restaurant. After strolling through the town, we went to the Whistlers campground where we had a reservation for 2 nights. The campground is the largest in the national park with 781 sites.
Distance traveled: 332km
Summary: finally in the Rocky Mountains
