Ålesund

We left very early because we wanted to drive Trollstigen today, one of the most spectacular routes in Norway, and we hoped that the traffic would still be manageable - in our direction it was okay but in the opposite direction... buses, caravans, crazy people, all on partly single-lane road with a few lay-bys. It was really spectacular but not for the faint-hearted. The landscape was fantastic and it would have been even better in good weather.

Now we are here in Ålesund on a pitch right by the water. We have already done a city tour. Parts of the city burned down and were then rebuilt in Nordic Jugendstil. Quite successful.
