ज्वालामुखी की ओर प्रस्थान 🌋

This morning, to be honest, we didn't know exactly how to approach the upcoming volcano trekking tour 🤨! There were two options! Either from Ubud with return to Ubud or complete departure from Ubud and onwards to Lake Batur. From there, climb the volcano! Luckily, we chose option 2 👍.

A bungalow at Lake Batur with 🌋 volcano trekking tour was quickly booked 👍!

A taxi 🚕 was also quickly found to take us to Lake Batur.

We were able to negotiate a stop in Tegallalang with the driver 😉. There were incredible rice terraces here 👍. But also a tourist hotspot to the max 😖! It was okay that we had to pay an entrance fee, but everywhere we went down to the rice terraces, there were locals trying to sell us all sorts of things 😖. That was really annoying! We walked around there for about half an hour and enjoyed the view 😊! When we went up to the road, someone called out "hi Daniela" and I thought, 😮 wow, someone here knows Daniela 😂! It was Ketut, our driver who had taken us to Ubud 🙈. Amazingly, he came over to us and showed us another great view of the rice terraces 😉!

Now, our driver took us further towards Lake Batur and let me tell you, he seemed to be in a damn hurry because he was really pressing down on the gas pedal 🤢! I felt worse and worse! I told Daniela, I'm going to throw up soon 🤮!!!! It was really bad! Somehow I survived the trip without 🤮.

We have a great bungalow here at Lake Batur with a view of the lake, and from the terrace, we can see Mount Batur 🤗! Both look very beautiful.

After freshening up, the owner came and went through tomorrow's trekking with us 😀. So, it starts at 3:15 am 😀! The ascent starts right in front of our resort and takes about 2 hours to reach the top! Once we arrive at the top, an egg will be fried on the volcano 🌋 😂😀! Well, I'm curious! Then we'll admire the sunrise 🌅, as well as visit the crater 👍. After that, we'll descend! That's the plan 😉!!!!

With so much input, we marched towards the lake. It was very nice because we had to pass by the local farmers who were busy working the fields. Pigs were in small wooden barns and every now and then we could see a few cows. I also said to Daniela, it smells like the Allgäu here 😂! The locals were very friendly here too, they came up to us and chatted away 😊!

At some point, I looked to the right and what I saw there was sooooooo disgusting. Bah, giant spiders! No photo of that, not even a second glance, just get away from there 🙈🙈🙈🙈!

After our walk, we returned to the resort and had a really delicious meal here. Off to bed soon, as we have to get up at 2:30 am! Photos will be provided later, as the WiFi here is not good!
