In the morning, we take a leisurely walk along the charming Lipson Cove before heading south. On the way to Port Lincoln, we want to take a quick look at Tumby Bay, which lies along the way. Our tour guides don't have any information about it, but the brochure from the local tourism association shows an impressive photo of a giant mural. We definitely want to see that. On the way there, we also visit the beach. It already looks inviting in the morning sun, so I decide to take a dip. Behind it is a nice little city park with dense green grass (very rare here), toilets, and showers. Not far away is the jetty with the typical anglers. There's a parking lot right in front of it.
After breakfast, we take a short walk and discover more unusual but very welcome facilities. Among others, a real bakery and a cute café. There are also many other successful murals.
In the end, we like it so much that we decide to spend the day here and enjoy a relaxing beach day.
And that's exactly what we do. We check out the giant mural (2200 square meters) on the grain silos, observe pelicans, and visit a few more beaches. We end the day with delicious fish & chips from the local takeaway. We stay overnight at the free RV park of the community.
