Here we go! It's unbelievable how quickly the time has flown by until our work and travel adventure. I decided to take the train to Bremen the day before so that I can start the really long flight journey in the morning. Thanks to Anni for accompanying me on the last leg 😉 Interestingly, I'm still really relaxed, the most important thing for me is the first meeting with my travel buddy Anna. When we arrive at the airport, we run directly into each other's arms. Yes👌🏻 first good feeling. Anna is super sweet and we get along from the beginning. Anna has a farewell committee in tow 👫👫 Dad, sister, best friend Anna, and her boyfriend Michi. And I'm all alone with my giant travel trolley. 🙈 No joke, it was totally okay for me, so I was spared a tearful goodbye. Both of us were just happy that we didn't have the normal backpacker backpacks but could pull our easy suitcases behind us. The flight went better than expected. After having to walk through half the airport in China when we mistakenly waited at the wrong gate for our onward journey, the flight was awesome! The huge airplane was so empty that we each had a row of four seats to ourselves. Hey, better than first class 😆 So we slept almost the entire flight because we could lie down completely! 👌🏻yes. Everything went very smoothly when we arrived in Sydney! The apartment is super centrally located and since there are 3 rooms for rent and most people only stayed for 2 nights, we made some really nice acquaintances. Every morning, we were awakened by guitar music from the café below us. The street noise couldn't be ignored either. But you get used to everything quickly. We walked a lot in the city and with our Opel Card (bus), after getting used to the crowds and traffic, we dove deeper into the city. The first experience that you won't forget is the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. The Blue Mountains, about 1.5 hours away by car, are completely different and beautiful. A dreamlike landscape! We did a lot of hiking there and climbed what felt like a million stairs 😆 The waterfall and the hiking were a beautiful experience that we could fully enjoy with our tour guide Conor. Conor was our landlord whom we became friends with and did a lot together. The Bondi Coogee Walk is stunningly beautiful, it passes by cliffs and great beaches, and also through a cemetery right by the sea, which has something mystical about it. The best part was that we were really lucky with the weather. ☀️☀️☀️ So we could also enjoy the beautiful parks and the Botanical Garden. However, we were hungry for more sun, so we decided to fly to tropical Cairns after the 2 weeks! About a 3.5-hour flight ✈️✈️✈️ But we've decided to be back in Sydney for New Year's Eve!
