From Cairns, we wanted to see the Great Barrier Reef from below and went on a diving and snorkeling tour to Moore Reef. 🚤

It was absolutely amazing! So beautiful and unforgettable. We saw reef sharks, turtles, amazing corals, and many different colorful fish. 🐢🐠

The next day, we drove to the Daintree National Park, the territory of the Kuku Yalanji. Here, we took a walk in the Mossman Gorge and went on a river tour where we spotted several saltwater crocodiles. 🐊

Afterwards, we visited the Daintree Rainforest, the oldest living rainforest in the world (about 180 million years old, about 10 million years older than the Amazon). 1 square hectare of rainforest here has more living organisms than the entire United Kingdom. We hiked through the national park and had a view of Myalls Beach, where the rainforest directly borders the Great Barrier Reef. 🌴

Finally, we got ice cream from the local Daintree ice cream parlor with special flavors like the Wattleseed plant. 🍨
