7. and last day in Bangkok

प्रकाशित: 08.09.2017

So... This is now my last day in Bangkok, and I'm not sad about it.... One week in Bangkok alone is enough... I've seen a lot and could have seen more...

I thought Bangkok was okay, but I don't think I need to come back here... If I ever come to Thailand again, I might spend 1-2 nights here and then travel across Thailand again.. But Bangkok is too loud and stuffy for a longer stay, and I felt like most people here don't really mean it when they are friendly (of course not everyone... I also met very nice and helpful people here)...

After breakfast and some time at the pool, I decided to go back to Wat Arun. I thought the temple looked so beautiful from the outside yesterday... So I took a boat to the other side again, covered my legs and shoulders, and visited the temple... You can also admire it in the photos...

The temple is really beautiful!!!!!!!

On the way back, I decided to check out Chinatown and visit the golden Buddha.

However, I got lost in Chinatown and ended up in tiny alleys with motor workshops (see photos). After an hour of walking in circles, my feet hurt and I also felt uncomfortable here. So I decided to take a taxi back to the hotel and leave the golden Buddha behind. The taxi driver I got into wanted to charge me 200 baht. When I asked him to turn on the meter, he refused, so I got out of the taxi again...

I knew that I couldn't be too far from the hotel and walked around with the city map (typical tourist) and kept asking where I was until I came across a corner that I knew. So I arrived back at the hotel quite annoyed and exhausted...

Just now, I did the online check-in here at the hotel, with the help of the lovely receptionist...

I'm going to grab something to eat now. Then, Bangkok is enough for me.... Conclusion: Interesting experience
