Day 6

Earth castle

Started this morning at 8:30 am with a wet tent in the front pocket of the backpack. So actually like almost every morning so far. 😅 Breakfast rather spartan: coffee and croissant. The first climb and I was hungry again. The good nuts were my salvation. At the top I had to take a break to ask around for accommodation. Thunderstorms were actually reported for tonight. Then I found something, it was just a little outside of Traben Trabach. This would have been the actual milestone. Okay, I thought no problem. I had a meal at the Traben Trabach glider airfield because I thought there was nothing in the guesthouse. Entered the destination castle into komoot and lo and behold it was 5 km to get there. Great, I thought. When I looked closer I saw that there was a ferry ride. Checked the timetable: runs every day except Mondays. And what was today??? So I chose the other option and it showed me another 13 km. I already had 15 km under my belt. In the end it was 28 km and 700 meters in altitude. Leaky Mio, I was so knocked out

It's a shame that I can no longer enjoy the journey as much because at some point I just want to get there.

Since there was something to eat this evening, I went down again to eat a salad. There was a lot of activity in the restaurant. Most older couples. What was striking was how many people talked quite irritably. So I just thought to myself, what's it like at home? I took my wine and water and went to my room. Enough for today.😔
