Lake Matheson

Hallo Hello,

We have done something again. Currently it is very difficult to do something because it rains 80% of the time...

Not far from our current residence in Fox Glacier there is a lake that we visited on a beautiful day. We got up relatively late and were a bit under time pressure to be back at our host family's house for lunch on time. We had to walk a bit faster to see everything :D We were lucky because the clouds gradually gathered, so we couldn't see the mountains as well anymore. However, on a cloudless day, the two highest mountains (Mt Cook and Mt Tasman) can be seen. Unfortunately, the mountains are hidden behind the clouds in our pictures.

The best part about the lake is that the mountains reflect in it. We walked around the lake, which takes about 1.5 hours.
