Stage 65: From Ankara to Kirikkale

From Ankara, I wanted to reach the Black Sea through the mountains in five stages. In the morning, I had a double portion of breakfast again, as the hotel staff hadn't noticed that Laura had already left.

On the drive east, I quickly saw snow-covered mountains again. There are a few quarries between Ankara and Kirikkale, and it seems that heavy industry is also located around Elmadag. It was still too cold for camping, so the city of Kirikkale offered itself as the first overnight stop. It was only about 70 kilometers from Ankara, but the strong headwind made me exhausted in the evening.
