Amalfi Coast - Positano

We arrive at the Amalfi Coast in the evening. The narrow coastal roads are a great challenge with our bus. The parking options for large vehicles are also very limited. We drive up the mountain into a residential area and park right by the road to stay overnight here.

The full moon shines brightly over the sea.

The next morning, there is a lot of activity on the road behind our bus. 

A transporter unloads horses. They are packhorses, loaded with building materials. They have to walk up a steep path to the vineyard because no vehicle can make it up here. 

After breakfast, we continue to the city. And again, it is very difficult to find a parking spot. The small vehicles have an easier time. 

We have to take a long walk. 

Then we go down to the city.

The path leads down hundreds of stairs to Positano. 

Until we reach the harbor.

The location of Positano is simply amazing. The houses are built tightly against the steep cliffs. A very picturesque town. 

We settle down in one of the beautiful street cafes, where we are spoiled with Italian delicacies. 

After an extended break, we have to hike back up the thousand steps 😰                                              

A great city!

You simply have to see it.
