12th March - Short stage Honnef - then the tour really starts

So, today I have my goal practically in sight,

a short stage, only about 50 km and another 60 to Honnef.

But what is short when you're on the road with an oldtimer Hanomag.

A highlight is the signpost that I pass by in the morning.

I arrive at Franz's, at the old tower, right on time for lunch.

Another highlight today is his popcorn-peanut ice cream.

Since I'm waiting for a package here (guess what), I won't be continuing today,

and I'll explore the city and the walls and towers of Honnef.

The Hanomag will also get a fresh pre-filter,

and my bed will get fresh air and spring sun.

Tomorrow we'll continue, it's going to be a long day.
