The last two weeks have been very quiet here, but now it's time for my final entry here.
On Wednesday, I was supposed to come home, but in reality, I've been home for two weeks already.
In the first week in New Zealand, I realized that my longing for home and my loved ones was growing stronger.
I thought long and hard about what to do. Leaving New Zealand early was not an option because I was too excited about the country and the people. I wanted to experience the magic of New Zealand and see the incredible nature.
So I decided to fly directly from New Zealand to home and skip the two weeks in Bali.
During my last trip in 2018, I learned that it's important to push your limits and surpass them, but it's also important to know and accept your personal limits.
So I changed my flight in mid-January. On February 11th, I flew from New Zealand to Bali and after an overnight stay there, I flew home on the evening of February 12th.
I never regretted this decision. Even though it meant flying alone from the other end of the world back home.
But even on this trip, I have once again grown beyond myself and have been able to overcome my panic fear of flying.
I managed all the flights without fear or panic, trusted the pilot and the crew on board, and landed safely.
I needed the two weeks at home to arrive again and process everything I experienced.
Now I can say that it was a great trip with incredibly many unforgettable experiences, lots of emotions, and beautiful encounters.
I have grown beyond myself, have learned a lot about myself again, and have become even closer to my loved ones at home.
I appreciate my friends even more, I know that my family always stands behind me and supports me when I need their help.
And I also know that I have the right person by my side with Moritz. He supported me, motivated me, and gave me security at all times. He took on the hardships and traveled alone halfway around the world to see me.
In conclusion, I can say that I am proud and happy to have taken this trip, and I am so grateful that my boss and the whole team made it possible.
Starting Monday, the work routine starts again and I look forward to seeing my colleagues again and to be useful again.
