Longyearbyen 16-23 May 2022/17 May

Early in the morning (around 7:15), we leave our hotel, fueled by a 5-star breakfast, heading towards the city. Today is National Day in Norway. No one can overlook it, everything is in motion, everything that can, is adorned with the Norwegian flag. Norwegians celebrate this day in a big way, they wear national costumes, sing, eat together with friends. Especially in Oslo, there is a children's parade. This year, about 130 groups (a record) walk from Karl Johans Gate up to the palace, where the royal family waves from the balcony. For us, it is an unforgettable experience to see the entire royal family up close. After a delicious dinner, it's off to bed early.
