Departure - here we go!

The time has come. The day of departure to Down Under has arrived.

But before that, I enjoyed Christmas with my family and closest friends, and experienced a few quiet days before my little adventure was about to begin.

Now, fueled by the Christmas feasts, it's time to start the journey.

Now it's time to wake up at 6 o'clock and have a nice breakfast with the family for strength, then drive to the airport at a quarter to 8 o'clock.

At 10:35 am, we will hopefully depart on time for a 6-hour flight with Qatar Airways from Frankfurt to Doha, where we are scheduled to arrive at 6:35 pm local time.

There, we will have 7 hours to move around and experience Doha before the 11-hour flight to Perth.

In Doha, we will depart at 2:25 am and are planned to arrive at our destination in Perth at 6:40 pm.

Next time, I will update you with impressions from Doha. Meanwhile, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and happy holidays - especially to my friends who will celebrate the self-imposed third Christmas holiday.
