The friendly cyclist yesterday (by the way, just under 80, also a tour rider, even before the electric times) advised us to take the cycle path next to the main road between Celle and Uelzen, as they had to push a lot in sand and mud lately.
So this morning we rode along the main (car) road and this afternoon along the main waterway. From Uelzen to Lüneburg you can follow the Elbe Side Canal. And no locks for >30 km, so it's nice and flat to ride, which can't be said of the morning through the heath, even if you don't go through any steep mountains anymore.
However, signage is often completely disregarded, which is called "bicycle region".
The weather was sunny and summery today, with occasional clouds in the afternoon. Since we had to go for a test in Uelzen again and got some paper there, the stay there took a bit longer. So we ended up here late.
In the meantime, we enjoyed ourselves at an Italian restaurant and took another walk through the city.
