So far our days have been characterized solely by relaxation. We get up, have a leisurely breakfast, lounge by the pool, get massages, and drink cocktails. On Tuesday we went to the beach. Unfortunately, it wasn't as nice as expected (muddy ground and lots of seaweed, as well as lots of tourists). For dinner, we leave our little paradise. On Tuesday and Wednesday we went to a local market for dinner (Nightmarket). We specifically chose the stalls where only locals have dinner. Communication was mostly through gestures and facial expressions, but the food was delicious and the people were very warm and friendly towards us :-). We are always surprised by the prices. An evening at the Nightmarket with food and drinks costs us between six and ten euros.
Yesterday we had dinner at the beach. In the restaurant we went to, the fish are caught fresh from the sea by the staff every day. When we sat down, a man came with a harpoon and five caught fish from the sea. We had a platter for 2 and drank coconuts.
Tomorrow we have booked a tour with a local. They will show us the island's treasures.
P.S. In the meantime, we have had the pleasure of experiencing what it means for the villa to be "freshened up" in the evening. It's great!
