10/15/23 - Arrival in Morocco; Day 1-3

First stage start of our Small Wonders aid project:

Today, October 15th, we arrived late in Morocco and have already completed a third of the route (and therefore the “easy” part), at least in km. Even though the actual project hasn't even started, the last few days have been quite turbulent. Originally, the first 3 days were supposed to be intensive, but the less problematic days. But as we all know, the devil is a squirrel and perhaps the official start of the stage on Friday the 13th was a little, superstitious prank from the car gods.

Even though the cars were (of course) subjected to extensive, lengthy tests and inspections before departure, we still had small breakdowns - and despite our nightly efforts, so far without 100% success. The weekend, loss of time and the canceled ferry from Algeciras to Tangier put additional obstacles in our way. But well, that can happen even with the best planning and maybe it's just part of a tour like this.

Tomorrow we'll try to find a workshop and spare parts and then we'll see. We're definitely still in good spirits and waiting for things to happen.
