After Monday morning everything went according to plan (flight status: as planned), we started the day relaxed and visited the beautiful Botanical Garden in Xalapa, which resembled more of a small forest.

At noon, we returned to the hotel, as Micha was supposed to travel to Ciudad de México in the evening. Then the message we expected and feared arrived - our return flight was canceled. The decision was quickly made to return directly with Micha and not wait until Wednesday.

On Tuesday, I spent most of the day at the airport, with a brief interruption (the Lufthansa counter was closed anyway), as Henni absolutely wanted to visit the Frida Kahlo Museum, while I (as usual) did some souvenir shopping.

Since the next flight is not until Thursday (and even then only on the waiting list), we made it a nice vacation day on Wednesday. After sleeping in and enjoying a hearty breakfast, we went to the Anthropological Museum, where I actually found postcards after 3 weeks.

In the evening, we were actually able to attend the last event of the folkloric ballet before they suspended their program due to the Corona crisis. Slowly, the first changes are also starting here, although you still encounter a lot of people on the streets.

Now we are heading directly to the airport. Then we have to wait until the evening and hope that we can somehow secure a spot on the plane.
