Day 11: Veliko Tarnovo

Today we drove through the Rose Valley over the Shipka Pass to Veliko Tarnovo.

Bulgaria is the country where the most rose oil is produced worldwide. We received information about this during our visit to the Rose Museum.

The Shipka Pass is sort of a Bulgarian national shrine.

During our visit to the Etara Museum Village, we were able to see beautiful old houses where craftsmen produce beautiful things according to traditional customs, which of course can also be bought. We liked it there.

Now we are at a luxury campsite for 2 nights with super clean sanitary facilities and a very nice pool. Great!
