Day 32 and 33 Puerto Narino - San Cristobal Galapagos

There's not much to write about yesterday. The boat from Puerto Narino was not delayed, so we were able to catch our flight on time. We had about 6 hours layover at Bogota airport, then continued our flight to Quito. We had to stay here almost the whole night. We were kindly informed that we were not allowed to sleep on the floor. Luckily, we were able to lie down for at least 2 hours.

We landed in San Cristobal Galapagos at around 10:00 this morning. The immigration procedure was not so easy. We walked from the airport to the hostel. The hostel seems nice, the owner is Swiss.

Then we went to see the sea lions. The beach is not far from our hostel. Right at the beginning, there were sea lions. They live here on the beaches and are, of course, the main tourist attraction. When I read that you share the beach with sea lions here, I didn't actually believe it. It's unique, only here in Galapagos. But the guys can be found not only on the beach. They also lie on park benches or in side streets.

After dinner, we took a walk to an observation tower. Then we passed by a beautiful sandy beach, where we found a spot among the sea lions. We should keep a distance of 2 meters. Mmmh difficult, we followed it, but the other side didn't. So it happened that we left the water earlier or we had to move the towels so that we didn't have a sea lion lying on them. Quite funny. There's a constant noise here and the smell is quite strong. 😅

We waited until sunset and then went home totally tired.
