Beloved Osaka

પ્રકાશિત: 25.04.2019

I haven't written in the blog for a few days now - enjoying life took priority and therefore there was simply no time to write. Finally, I catch up on it:

On April 19th, we flew from Busan to Osaka. The flight is quite short, so if you are in Korea and want to make a detour to Japan (or vice versa): that is very good and very fast possible.

In Osaka, we were already there during our last stay in Japan 3 years ago. We couldn't get a proper impression of the city as we were only there for a very short time and unfortunately we were vegetating in the hotel room back then, suffering from a bad hangover. This came (among other things) from the "all-you-can-eat-and-all-you-can-drink" offer in a yakiniku (table grill in Japanese style) restaurant. We didn't want to repeat this mistake but still dared to go to the same grill restaurant in the evening where we were 3 years ago. It was very delicious, but we were quite well-behaved - others apparently less so, as the beer ran out as the first thing.

The restaurant is located in the extremely lively Dotonbori district in Osaka. If we thought that we had already seen a lot of restaurants, food stands, bars and so on, we were greatly awakened in Osaka. Here, so many restaurants are lined up next to each other that it becomes very clear: the people in Osaka love to eat and enjoy! No matter where you walk, you are greeted with smells of fried meat, grilled fish, warm rice cakes, and thousands of smells from the kitchens that are interesting or unknown or questionable. We are looking forward to the next few days in Osaka!
