Haaaalloooooo dear ones :)
Today we had the Jungle Tour and it was really great!
We started at 9:30 am, right after breakfast and as promised, we received our ordered lunch box ☺️
In the beginning, we were driven by the receptionist for about 15 minutes to the starting point. Later we found out that the whole hotel is a family business and that the receptionist is the sister of our guide.
The path through the jungle was really, really great! At first, we moved on trails, which became less and less and ultimately we walked right through the wild forest. At the beginning of the tour, the guide also seemed a bit excited, but with each "Oooooooh" and "Aaaaaah" from us, his nervousness visibly faded. We were able to learn a lot about the forest and also about our guide, as well as about life in Thailand in general. Our guide is 40 years old, has two children, and was a professional "Muay Thai fighter" for 27 years. He won various international competitions, of which he proudly told. However, he quit then when he became a father at the age of 30.
We passed two impressive caves and paused at a dreamlike river, where we refreshed ourselves briefly with a swim.
We were shown plants that can be eaten again and again, and we tried a few of them.
That one photo that looks like an ant trail, that's not ants. That's a special kind of mosquito that remains flightless and lives on the ground.
Then there is an explanation for the photo with the cow: This cow is a fighting cow, allegedly there are cow fights here, where you can bet money on a cow. These cows are always individual and very short-tethered. That was completely new to us!
In total, we were on the road for 4 hours and covered 11 kilometers - afterwards our bodies were muddy, we looked like pigs once again, and we were really satisfied inside ☺️
After the tour, we were picked up by car and driven back to the hotel.
By now it was 2 p.m. and we decided to eat something right here in the restaurant.
From our guide, we received two coconuts to drink and eat, which tasted extremely delicious!
Plus a few spring rolls, a few fries, and we were satisfied ☺️
After the meal, we thanked our guide and his sister for everything and they were visibly happy about the success of the excursion.
We jumped briefly under the shower and wanted to take a short break. But it turned into 2.5 hours - I already started with the blog text and dealt with the pictures from yesterday, and Mom took an unplanned nap :)
At around 6 p.m. we went to Ao Nang again with our hotel transfer. There we had dinner (unfortunately, it wasn't so great today, we accidentally ended up at an Indian restaurant and my Massaman curry, as well as Mom's fried noodles, were both not that good), walked around the shops, and visited our tailor for the agreed fitting.
The dress now looks like a complete dress, not like yesterday :)
However, a few details still need to be corrected, he will do that today and tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. is the final fitting. In the afternoon, we should be able to pick it up :)
Since I have such a poor imagination, I can't wait to finally see the finished dress :)
Afterwards, we had a cola and a Red Bull in a bar and took a tuk-tuk back to the hotel.
Now it's 9:30 p.m. and we are peacefully ending the evening in our bungalow :)
So, that's it for today again and we wish you all a wonderful evening :)
See you tomorrow!
