Guanajuato. One of the legendary silver cities that captivate with their colonial architecture and splendor. At one point listed as a World Heritage Site, it should not be missed on the agenda.

On the way there, we encounter a quirky pilgrimage. On the "highway", thousands of people make pilgrimages with holy shrines, monstrances, or images of Mary Magdalene. On the opposite lane, even more original. Dozens of racing bike groups riding in the slipstream of pickups with relics.

Despite the shortage of fuel at some gas stations due to the pipeline explosion, which is causing problems for many, especially once again for US citizens (biiiiiig trouble), it is not a major problem to get diesel. The second gas station is full.

For reasons of security but also for reasons of comfort, it is most of the time only a CP near the city center. Especially in the well-known cities, there are corresponding offers. Further south, these become rarer.
