I was immediately impressed with my accommodation here in Canggu. While everyone in other hostels was very introverted, everyone in this hostel approached me directly and I got along with everyone right away.

I originally planned to stay for only 2 nights, but because of the cool people here, I've already been here for 4 nights. The hostel is like a big family and we have all grown really close during these few days. We do sightseeing together, go surfing, eat, and occasionally have a drink in the evening.

The group is a mix of people from different countries, including the Netherlands, Jordan, France, Switzerland, England, Canada, and New Zealand.

That's also the reason why I haven't written a post in the last few days and haven't taken many photos because I just didn't feel like taking out my phone or laptop.

Every day, we sit together by the pool and talk about everything under the sun, and it's really interesting to learn things when you speak with people from other countries. Since I've mostly been speaking English in the last few days, I also notice how it's getting easier to speak and that was another reason why I wanted to take this trip.

But all good things come to an end, so tomorrow I'll head to Uluwatu and spend the last 3 days there before I go north and start my project.

Stay tuned!

Martin
