Hello again! This blog entry is
°°~~__ V E R Y S P E C I A L __~~°°
Because I thought of a little game which I will explain in the end of the blog. And yes, you can actually win a prize!
But first things first. I left Iguazú since it has only little to offer except these amazing waterfalls and is horribly touristic. My destination was San Vicente, a small town which is close to a natural park I visited today. The distance was nothing for Argentina, just 210km so I though it wasn't a big deal. I've been at 10:00 in the morning at the bus terminal and arrived super late, around 8 in the evening at my CS hosts. I'll not bore you with details, it was a mess. Anyway, Javier, Cintia, Mauricio and Santiago are awesome company!
We had pizza together that was super delicious. I'm not exaggerating when I say this has been the best pizza in Argentina so far 👌 I went the next day to Salto Escondido, which is a natural reserve with more waterfalls. The area here is very humid and hot, so jungles are all around. These plants are Yerba, it's the plant for Mate leaves. I found this caterpillar hanging loose on my way to the natural reserve. Wasn't sure if he is in trouble or not so I just let him do his thing. And this is from inside the park. There are several hiking tracks but they were all closed since it can be dangerous if it rains and it rains a lot here . I did not have to hike for this waterfall tho. You guys know me a little, of course I went for the hike nonetheless. It was awesome since I had the whole track just for myself 🤩 There were many warnings of poisonous spiders and snakes, so I walked super slow and careful. I also wanted to see some wildlife and didn't make much noise. There were plenty of birds who fled usually super fast and big lizards like in Iguazú. Oh and butterflies. Many of them! Got a shot of this one opening it's wings! Welcome to the jungle! This tree looks like it is stuffed with cotton. Lizards! They were super shy, so pictures were way more difficult then in Iguazú but I got this one. This waterfall was the main attraction of the trail and the butterflies made it just perfect. I made a video of this scene, it's awesome: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1X_uEvOmTkk-KI5uNOBIutT6525B6v_vj/view?usp=drivesdk This tree decided to grow vertical More waterfalls 😍 This Liana looked like a chain. Argentinians often indicate where you have a phone connection, even in the jungle! And here are mushrooms which look like snowflakes. One last picture of the jungle before I left again.. I have no idea if it's true but this spider looked either super poisonous or like the one that bit Peter Parker and turned him into Spider Man.. That's it from the jungle, let's move on to the fun part! This thing happened to me today: There was a huge queue of cars which did not move. The public bus in which I was, overtook the whole queue, driving backwards on the wrong lane. For all my German readers: Der Bus ist auf der Gegenfahrbahn rückwärts gefahren und hat eine riesige Schlange von wartenden Auto im Rückwärtsgang überholt. I want you to guess why he did that 😂 If anyone can figure it out, I'll send him or her an awesome postcard. The one with the most creative answer will also get one! Here is a video of the whole scenery: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XTLcuBmXE7sw3RxxJKnDTLIaKisvpXwR/view?usp=drivesdk Answers can be submitted via Telegram, WhatsApp, a comment in this blog or an Email! You got 7 days time, that is until the 15.11., then I will resolve the whole thing and tell you who won 👍
