- Chapter 02

પ્રકાશિત: 12.11.2019

As predicted, there wasn't much going on with us over the weekend.
We wrote down all the goals we want to see during our tour.

In addition, on Monday we were able to clarify some uncertainties that could not be resolved over the weekend. This mainly included the topic of New Zealand banks.

On the other hand, our visit to a dealer who converts cars into camper vans was sobering. Starting with the fact that we had to take the bus there. However, there are some differences in bus travel in Germany. Because the bus drivers expect you to wave to them when you want to get on. Otherwise, they just drive past you. In addition, there was no display or announcement on our bus line indicating when which stop comes. When leaving the bus, it is also common to thank the bus driver.

However, today the day started with a balanced breakfast, which suggested that it would be a good day.
In addition, for the first time on our trip, it was time to do some laundry. So we sorted diligently. The colored clothes that didn't fit anywhere had to be washed by hand.
We were very resourceful when drying our clothes. A currently unused fastening strap and a fan in the room: that's all you need for a quick success (which saved us $5.50 for the dryer!).

After lunch, we went to a second dealer to check out their cars. We were first informed very friendly about how the car buying and selling works in New Zealand. Then there was the opportunity for a test drive. The biggest challenge was not to turn on the windshield wipers instead of the turn signals at every intersection.

We received detailed advice on the model that was suitable for us. Without thinking for long (*cough*cough*very long*cough*), we bought a small camper van. It will be converted for us until Friday and then the tour begins.

So the next thing is moving into our home on wheels.
