It rained all night and rain was also forecasted for the morning. So we went to the caves of Kostanjeviška and visited them. In Slovenia, there are over 10,000 caves, and 20 to 500 new caves are discovered every year. We could only visit a small part of the cave. The cave is probably 2 to 10 km long and is being further explored. We saw cave animals like spiders and bats, as well as stalactites and stalagmites, many of which resembled figures, animals, or food such as crocodile, elephant, bacon, Santa Claus with Christmas tree, etc. An impressive visit.
Afterwards, we went to the castle - castle number 3 on our trip - of Kostanjeviška na Krki. Today, no longer a castle in the traditional sense, but an art gallery. The park surrounding the castle is a sculpture park with various art objects. The sun was shining again and it got warm.
The girls wanted to go to the swimming pool, but it started raining and thundering again when we got back to the hotel. So we ended up going to the indoor swimming pool from yesterday. Termal Riviera.
