I've been here for three months already. But Candida has only recently started to open up. It's not that she's unfriendly, but it has always been difficult to start a conversation with her. And I'm such a sweetheart. Tonight, all three guests happened to be here at the same time for dinner, and the family ate with us. That rarely happens, but when it does, it's a lively atmosphere. Sometimes you have plans and can have your meal earlier. And the family doesn't eat together often. I don't think it has such a high priority here. There's no proper breakfast, maybe just a small snack standing up. The kids might have a sugary milk with artificial strawberry flavor before school and get a packed lunch: a sandwich and a cola, for example. They don't necessarily have to eat anything, they have more freedom here. There are no set meal times, except for us paying guests. At least, that's how it is in Candida's refuge. Lately, she has been sitting with me at the breakfast table and telling me something. She's been hosting guests for 15 years, most of them young girls who could be her granddaughters. So I'm an exception and maybe that's why I'm unfamiliar?

The photos:

1. The concrete washbasin for laundry, mops, and dog wash, found in every household. The entrance to my castle room is on the top left of the picture.

2. The kitchenette.

3. The refrigerator, which was never full.

4. Playroom, dog toilet (we reported), TV room. Actually, there used to be a large flat-screen TV here. They recently moved it to one of the bedrooms and now watch TV there. No more "Sila" for me.
