Sailing, big trees, many beaches, dolphins and good bye NZ

On the Coromandels we sailed with Mat on his beautiful catamaran. The sailing was fabulous and totally relaxing.

Unique was the train from Coromandel Town. A local ceramic artist built that train all by hand over more than two decades. It was quite a passion.

After a long drive past Auckland we reached the land of beaches and Kauris. The Kauri trees made us feel small and insignificant. Some of these humongus trees exist for more than 3000 years. Slowly we traveled north. The beaches were just beautiful.

Our favorite was the Karikari Beach on the Peninsula with the

same name. A wonderful beach with no one on it. It had cristal clear waters and as we arrived, We encountered a group of dolphins playing just 20 meters from the shore.

Taking the chance, Andreas dove into the waters and was lucky enough to swim with the dolphins.

We felt so lucky that evening. It was really one of the highlights of our trip.

Each day the weather got a little warmer and we spent a lot of time on different beaches and did some nice walks which lead us to breathtaking views.

Tonight is our last night in NZ. Tomorrow off we go to Hongkong.
