1st day in Boston

પ્રકાશિત: 20.08.2016

Since the key drop-off was not until 10 o'clock and we were all already awake at 6:30 o'clock, we decided to take a small sightseeing tour through the city 'Province'. Among other things, we visited the following places.

After dropping off the keys, we continued to Boston without any stops. We were already there in 1 hour. I have to say that I imagined Boston to be smaller. It's quite big and has some skyscrapers too. It somehow reminded me a little bit of New York. I took a lot of pictures, but unfortunately I can't say which building is which. I just took photos of the most beautiful buildings, which in my subjective opinion were the most beautiful ones.

The highlights of the day were definitely the food at 'sweetgreen', the park, and our accommodation. Regarding the food and 'sweetgreen' restaurant: Since I am consciously trying to eat healthy here in the USA, I came across sweetgreen. I had a big salad there, but the cool thing was that there is an app for the restaurant and you can theoretically order and pay through the app. I paid with my phone using a QR code. The food was very delicious and when you pay for the first time, you get a $5 discount. The second highlight was the park that we stumbled upon by chance. The plants were beautifully arranged, everyone was relaxed, there were many ducks on the water and you could ride in a swan boat. Of course, the weather was also great.

Maybe I liked the park so much because it reminded me of Schloss Monrepos in Ludwigsburg and I had great experiences there that I never want to miss. And my last highlight of the day was the accommodation in Boston or Waltham (about 15 minutes by car from Boston). The house is really modern and very clean. There is even a beautifully beautiful terrace. Here are some pictures again, so you can get an idea:
Oh, I forgot one highlight. Skyping with a loved one can lift your mood so much. I'm glad that this invention exists and also glad to have someone by my side who is always there for me. Abroad, you notice much more who is interested in you and asks about you. So, that's it for today. I wish you a wonderful day, my dear readers. Tomorrow I will go back to Boston and of course I will tell you what I experienced throughout the day.
